Here is Buckaroo Banzai in all his future glory zooming around and around. This item is ©1984 by Sherwood Productions, Inc. Made in Japan by B. Shackman & Co., Inc. Examples of these highly desirable Illusion Toys can be found in Collector's Digest Dexterity Games And Other Hand-Held Puzzles, ©L-W Book Sales, 1995, pages 144-145. Prices range from $50-80, but I have seen in the $100 range. But, this one is somewhat less in value.

Although, this item is referred to as an Illusion Game, it really belongs in the Magical Illusion class. This is one of the neatest items to play with as you will certainly be amazed and amused by it. Place key in hole and hold index finger on top of key. Move lever on side and s-w-o-o-s-h.
Buckaroo is made of plastic (outer structure and key) and metal (inner workings) and measures 2 3/16 inches in diameter and is 5/8 inch thick. The front side comprises a car attached to the center by a flat rod. There is a plastic key (1 5/8 inches long) attached a lever (coming from the side of the main body) with a piece of string (See attached picture). On the back side is a description with directions and manufacture data. The description reads, Mystifying illusion. See the rocket jet car do the impossible! |
